Addressing Food Insecurity
Reach's latest report with partner ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara is published today. The report focuses on the Guadalajara Food Bank, which provides over 15,000 families, spread across 252 communities, with food aid. The report examines three aspects of their operations: sustainable procurement of high quality and healthy food items, waste reduction and reaching all families experiencing food insecurity. Reach researchers spent 2 months in the field engaging in a delivery pilot, conducting a survey and stakeholder consultations to identify the role of the Food Bank in achieving the state-wide campaign of Jalisco Sin Hambre (Jalisco without hunger).
